After you choose your character, registration is simple.

• Create a character name and password. (REMEMBER: Don't use your real name.)
• Select your real birthday - don't worry, this won't affect your age in the game.
• Enter your PARENT'S email address. This is important in case you forget or need to reset your password.

Changing your look.

• If you want to change your hair or clothes, click on the blue Clothes Closet icon along the bottom right of the world.

Your character's status.

• The Magic Mirror in the upper left corner will reflect your character's age, how close you are to your next birthday and how many Spenders you have.

To walk around, click on the spot you want your character to
move to.

Moving to New Places
There are two ways to visit new hang outs:

• Pathways - When a big yellow arrow appears, click it to visit a new area or shop.
• The Map - When your character turns 11, a map will appear in the lower left corner of your screen. You can use the map to go directly to hangouts or stores. Some locations will be grayed out until you are older.

If you want to buy clothes, furniture, and more, you'll need to earn Spenders. Here's how:

• Playing Games - The longer you play a game, the more spenders you'll earn.
• Secrets - Earn Spenders by helping Special Characters with Secret Searches.
• Selling items - clothes, food, and things collected can all be sold by clicking on them in your inventory.
• Spin the Daily Wheel - Each day you get one spin on the wheel to earn a random amount of Spenders.

Want to reach your next SuperSecret birthday and get and do some cool new things? Here's how:

• Playing Games - The longer you play, the more Age Points you'll earn.
• Secrets - Earn Age Points by helping Special Characters with Secret Searches.
• Find Hiddens - Click on hidden objects throughout the world to earn Age Points.

Note: If you eat a snack before you do any of these, you'll earn more points.

When you see characters in SuperSecret their name will be displayed underneath them. Names with a different color have a special meaning:

• Blue - These are Special Characters. Click on them to learn tips, buy stuff, or find out special Secrets.
• Orange - These are Moderators. They are real people, not computers. They can give you tips, answer questions, and make sure everyone is being nice and playing safe.
• Yellow - This means that the player has a paid membership.

Here are some ways to deal with other players who are bothering you or breaking SuperSecret's rules.

Blocking - This means that you and that player can no longer see or talk to each other. To block another player:

• Click on the player that is bothering you to bring up their player card, and then click on Block.
• If they are your friend, click on the yellow icon in the right corner, and then click Block.

Reporting - If someone one is breaking the rules, you can let us know by reporting them. Players you have reported will also be blocked.

• Click on the player that is bothering you to bring up their player card, and then click on Report.
• If they are your friend, click on the yellow icon in the right corner, and then click Report.

NOTE: If you report someone who isn't breaking any rules, you could be suspended.

One of our primary goals at SuperSecret is to provide a safe online environment. In support of this, we have three ground rules we require all players to follow:

• Be nice. Every character is really a person with feelings. So treat people the way you want to be treated.

• Act appropriately. A good rule of thumb: If you can't say it in a classroom, you can't say it here. Be respectful, and stick to topics that make sense for young people.
  
• Play it safe. Never share personal information such as your real name, address, phone number, email, password, or location.
  

Chat Monitoring - We monitor all chat messages. If we find that a player has violated one of our ground rules, we may mute, suspend or ban on a permanent basis.

HOW DO I THROW A PARTY?
Click on your Secret Planner, located next to your phone, then select "Plan a Party." Choose the date, time, server and title for your party. Everyone on your friends list will be automatically invited. You can also go back to your Secret Planner to edit the party, invite friends by email, or print out invitations to give to your friends.

HOW LONG DOES A PARTY LAST?
SuperSecret parties last 15 minutes.

HOW MANY PARTIES CAN I THROW?
Members can host as many parties as they'd like, but can only schedule one party at a time.

WHO'S INVITED TO MY PARTY?
Everyone on your friends list is automatically invited to your party. To manage who gets invited to your party, you will need to edit your friends list before party begins.

WHAT IF MY FRIEND LIVES IN ANOTHER TIME ZONE?
Our system will automatically adjust the party time to a player's time zone. For example, if you live on the west coast and schedule a party for 6:00PM PST, your east coast friends will see a party invite for 9:00PM EST.

CAN I INVITE NON-SUPERSECRET FRIENDS?
Yes! Just select "print" from the party invite and hand those out to all of your friends. You can also email your friends a party invite by clicking on "email" from within the edit party mode.

HOW DO I JOIN A PARTY?
If you're logged into SuperSecret and a party begins, you will be automatically notified. To see parties you are invited to just click on your Secret Planner button located at the upper-right hand corner of the world.

HOW DO I CANCEL A PARTY?
To cancel your party, click on your party invite from with your Secret Planner and select "cancel."

WHAT IS A SECRET PLANNER?
Your Secret Planner is located to the left of your phone. Clicking the Secret Planner will show you all of the exciting stuff planned just for you such as parties, new games, events, secret searches and adventures.

Playing games is a great way to earn Spenders and Age Points. You can find all of your games in your green Games button at the top left of your screen. You can find new and exciting games by exploring SuperSecret. Make sure to check in with Aidan at the Midway from time to time for Special Edition games that give you more Spenders and Age Points

Want to know the quickest way to age up? Eating snacks before playing a game, clicking a hidden, or completing a Secret Search will give you more points. You can see how big the multiplier is by looking at the snacks card, but you won't know how long the boost lasts until you eat it.

• Ready to go shopping? All you need are plenty of Spenders and a sense of adventure.
• All the stores are listed on the map with a blue box icon. Once you get to the store, look for and click on the store shopkeeper, a Special Characater with a gift box over their head. The shopkeeper will show you what's for sale.

It pays to be curious at SuperSecret. If something looks interesting, click on it! You never know what you might find.

Collectibles - You can find these lying in plain sight. Some are gifts, some are clues to other secrets, and some you can sell for Spenders.

Hiddens - These are harder to find, but if you're clever enough to spot them you can earn Age Points by clicking on them.

As you explore the world, be sure to meet (click on) Special Characters you see. They might ask for your help in doing a Secret Search. If you agree to help, follow the steps outlined. Once you complete the task, you'll be rewarded with Spenders, Age Points or special items to keep.

Click on the Explore icon in the bottom right of your screen to keep track of your active Secret Searches. If you are in the middle of helping a Special Character, their picture will be displayed. Click on their picture for a reminder of what to do next or as a way to go directly to them.

Adding Friends

To add another player as a friend:

• Click on the player and click on the Add Friend button at the bottom of their player card.
• To add a friend by typing in their character name, open up your phone and click on the Look up & add icon at the bottom.

Inviting Friends

If you want to invite a friend who doesn't have an account:

• Open up your phone and click the Look up & add icon at the bottom.
• Choose No when asked if your friend already has a character name.
• Enter their email address and your real name to send them an invitation to join SuperSecret.

You can find all your friends listed on your phone. Your phone will indicate whether or not they are online. If you see them online, just click on their location from within your phone.

IMPORTANT: In order to see your friends, you must be on the same server. A good habit to get into would be for you and your friends to agree on a server and always try selecting the same server.

Buying

• You can buy gifts from Tilly in the Marketplace and Macy in the Midway.
• You can buy Sneak Attacks from Oliver at Dum Fun in the Midway.

Sending

• Click on your friend to bring up their player card
• Click the Send Gift button, then choose the gift to send

OR

• Open your Stuff Stash and click on the item you want to send
• Choose a friend from the list and the gift will be sent

Want to tell your friends what's on your mind? Let them know by setting your What's Up update. Just open your Phone and click on the What's Up icon and select one of the What's Up updates. If you have a Super Chat privileges, you can enter a custom update.

When you first sign up, your character will be able to chat with friends using Simple Chat. To chat, click on the blue "Chat" icon at the bottom of your screen and click on a phrase to send. To close the chat menu, click on the "Chat" icon again.

Once you turn 11 you can start using Super Chat with your parent's approval.

To send an activation request to your parent, start to type any key in the Super Chat window. A message box will pop up asking you for your parent's email address and will send an approval request to your parent. If they don't see the email right away, ask them to check their Spam Folder. Once they click the activation link, you will be able use Super Chat and type in your own messages.

Note: Chat exchanges are moderated both by computer filtering and by human moderators.

• Room - Reaching Age 11 means you get your own room to fix up. There are two ways to buy cool stuff for your room: you can visit Pier 38 or select the shopping button from within your room. After purchasing stuff, select the blue chair icon on the bottom right to start designing your room.

• Exploring - When you turn 11, a map icon will appear in the lower left of the screen making it easy to jump directly to dozens of new hangouts and stores. When you are exploring, be sure to meet (click on) Special Characters with blue names as they'll help you uncover secrets of the world.

• Super Chat - At Age 11, you'll be able to use SuperChat provided your parent approves. See Chat for more details.

• Pets - When you turn 12 you get your very own pet. After selecting and naming a pet, you can visit your pet by clicking on the orange Pet icon at the top of your screen. Click on the small picture of your pet to see how your pet is doing and to give them food, vitamins or special care. You can also place your pet in your room by selecting the blue chair icon on the bottom right side of your room.

Things really start to change once you reach Age 13. You grow taller, look older and get 1,000 Spenders to buy all new clothes and hairstyles. There are hundreds of new items to choose from--and lots of new Secrets--so make sure to check it all out.

At 15, you'll be able to store your Spenders in an interest-earning bank account. Every 24 hours you log into SuperSecret, your Spenders will earn 4% interest. If you log on to SuperSecret every day for two and a half weeks, the money in your bank account will double just from interest alone!
