Fast-forward 25 years. Summer had a child of her own, a girl named Supernica – although everybody just called her Super. And while Super liked recess a whole lot (thanks, Gramps), she really loved summer vacation (good one, Mom).
Super’s favorite activity was to explore secret places with her two BFFs, Ted and Tony. After breakfast, they’d meet up and head off, searching for snakes and butterflies among the fallen trees in Blue Song Woods and splashing in the puddles at the Tide Pools.
Winter, however, was a different story. In the frightening chill in the Middle of Nowhere, Super was often stuck indoors, staring at the wall. She missed exploring. She missed fun.
So she decided to do something about it. “I come from a line of inventors,” she thought. “Surely I can come up with something!”

She played in the world every day (after homework, of course), and winter began to look a whole lot brighter. In fact, two words: Awe. Some.
But something was missing -- friends. So Super called up her pals, Ted and Tony, and they called their friends, and soon a whole gaggle of kids was crowding into the basement, straining for a peek at Super’s secret world. They had never seen anything so fantastic! So they connected their computers together with cables (which is how you had to do it back then) and created their own characters to share in the adventure.
