About SuperSecret Secret world. Super fun.

Many years ago, in a small town in the Middle of Nowhere, Rupert Recess was born. It was a monumental day. Why? Because Rupert became a hero.

Here’s how it happened. When Rupert was at school, there was no such thing as recess. It was just study, study, study all day, with a very short break for lunch.

Rupert had two words for this situation: Bo. Ring. So he went to the school board meeting (zzzz) and asked, “Can we please go outside every day? Just for fun?”

A gasp went through the room. “You most certainly cannot,” the boring people said. But Rupert begged to differ. And in time, the school board saw the light: Maybe if kids got to run, hop, somersault, and jump on pogo sticks every day, they’d do even better in school.

And sure enough, bam. Recess was invented, named after Rupert Recess himself.

When he grew up, Rupert had a daughter, Summer, who frolicked daily at recess. But in warm weather, she cut class and headed to the swimming hole to cool off. “Why,” she thought, “must we spend the most beautiful time of the year indoors?”

So Summer, too, went to the school board (school bored). “Could we please,” she asked, “have the summer off?”

And bam. Summer Recess. Named after Summer herself.

Fast forward 25 years…. [continued on next page]
